The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £32,958 - £33,943 per annum, plus £2,623 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 24 months

This is a Full-time post –   100 % full time equivalent

A postdoctoral researcher is sought for 2 years to be part of an innovative multidisciplinary project that aims to dissect the epigenetic signatures of stress biology by pioneering novel longitudinal comparisons of monozygotic twins discordant for psychosocial stress experiences across adolescence. The post holder will be required to conduct epigenome-wide analysis on repeated DNA samples collected from twins in the E-Risk cohort study and disseminate findings via high quality journal publications and conferences as well as to the general public.

The post-holder should have a PhD (or equivalent) in genetic/epigenetic epidemiology, or bioinformatics. S/he should have experience of manipulating and analysing high dimensional data-sets and conducting statistical analysis of epigenetic or genomic data. S/he should have published papers in genomics, bioinformatics and/or epigenetic epidemiology and be enthusiastic about working in a multi-disciplinary team. The post is available from 1st February 2017.

The selection process will include a panel interview. Interviews are scheduled to be held the week commencing: 23rd January 2017.
