The Institute for Sport, Physical Education & Health Sciences, within the Moray House School of Education, is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Physical Education to complement the current staff team within the Institute. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic Institute where teaching is supported by high quality specialist spaces including multi-activity teaching gymnasiums and games hall, a dedicated dance studio and well equipped psychology, biomechanics and physiology laboratories and indoor and outdoor facilities for a wide range of field sports, swimming and athletics.
You will have a PhD or equivalent in the area of pedagogy, curriculum or physical education. You will also demonstrate the ability to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate degree-level teaching and engage in the research culture of the University of Edinburgh, through an ongoing programme of workshops, seminars and conferences to promote research activities at Institute, School, and University level.
This is a full-time (35 hours per week), open-ended post.
