Up to 15 PhD Studentships in Politics and International Relations

The University of York’s Department of Politics is delighted to invite applications for up to 15 PhD scholarships to commence in September 2017. We are extremely proud of our large and vibrant PhD community, and of the depth of supervisory experience and expertise available within the Department.

Department of Politics Scholarships are available to excellent students whose work relates to any area within the discipline. We particularly welcome applications within Comparative Politics and Public Policy, International Politics, Political Economy, and Political Theory. Department of Politics Scholarships cover fees at home/EU rate, and provide a stipend in line with research council support.

For home/EU students whose research falls within the remit of the UK Economic and Social Research Council, support is available through the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership.

For home/EU students whose research falls within the remit of the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council, support is available through the White Rose College of Arts and Humanities.

We also have support available for international students through partnership arrangements with the China Scholarship Council, the Chilean CONICYT-Becas system, and the Mexican CONACyT system.
