An opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer to contribute to teaching, research and income generation in the area of engineering. Particular specialisms of interest to the School would include (but are not limited to): engineering operations management, supply chain management, lean manufacturing and quality engineering.
The post holder will contribute to the delivery and teaching of the School’s engineering programmes as well as new developments growing out of our existing courses in Mechanical, Motorsports, Aerospace and Computer Aided Engineering. They will also engage in internationally competitive research in an area appropriate to the activities of engineering within the school and have the ability to develop research activity.
Possessing a demonstrable enthusiasm about the subject of engineering, the successful applicant will engage with industrial partners, promote the activities of the Engineering Innovation Centre and supervise student engineering projects at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Research and/or industrial experience in engineering as well as teaching experience in a relevant subject are essential requirements. The successful applicant will hold a BEng or MEng in Engineering (or similar subject) and PhD in an appropriate subject. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also core requirements for this position.
