University of Birmingham is proud to offer a position as NIHR Clinical Lectureship (NIHR CL).
The post is designed to include 50% time carrying out academic research with a focus on neurotrauma combined with 50% time in clinical training. The NIHR Clinical Lectureship (NIHR CL) will have the opportunity to train in one of the world’s leading centres for neurotrauma research. It is expected that the majority of the clinical training will be based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham but the post-holder may rotate to any other neurosurgical unit within the West Midlands region as dictated by training requirements.
Specific projects are available in both translational (http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/research/activity/inflammation-ageing/research/index.aspx) and clinical neurotrauma research (http://www.srmrc.nihr.ac.uk).
The appointment will be at ST3 level or above and candidates must possess a higher degree (MD, PhD or equivalent). The appointee must be available to take up the post by 31 March 2017 at the latest.
