We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated researcher who is able to work collaboratively and independently. You will be expected to undertake research leading to high quality publications in an area that reflects your expertise, supervise doctoral students and submit strong funding applications. An ability to engage in research that has resonance with non-academic audiences would be especially welcome, as would a track record in management research.
Our research is co-ordinated by the International Centre for Research in Events, Tourism and Hospitality (ICRETH). The most recent official assessment of research quality in the UK (REF 2014) ranked the unit to which we contributed second in the UK for research power (a measure of research quality and volume). We seek to create the conditions whereby colleagues can continue to improve the quality and impact of their work. This role-holder will play a very important part in achieving that aspiration. You will be joining a supportive research environment which will assist you in achieving your goals.
