Fixed term for 6 months

Grade 7 - starting salary is normally in the range £29,301 to £38,183. With potential progression once in post to £40,523 a year.

We are seeking a motivated person for the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, The University of Birmingham. This 6-month appointment involves a range of activities relating to re-industrialisation, remanufacturing and the circular economy. The work is funded by the EC H2020 FUTURING Project (Project reference 19503).

Duties will also include supporting existing activities, staff and PhD students working within the research group.

Candidates will possess a good honours degree in mechanical engineering and should have a PhD or equivalent research experience in a relevant discipline ideally including previous work in re-industrialisation, remanufacturing and the circular economy. Practical IT and electronics skills are desirable. The ability and willingness to conduct case studies and disseminate information are essential.
