Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Studentship 2017-2018

The School of Law of The University of Manchester is pleased to welcome applications for the ESRC award from candidates wishing to conduct criminological or socio-legal research in September 2017.

The studentships comprise full-time tuition fees at RCUK approved rate, an annual stipend starting at approx. £14,296 (subject to confirmation) and a research training support grant.

The studentships is available for UK and EU applicants who hold an upper second class degree or above and a master’s degree with an overall mark of 60% or above, or an equivalent combination of qualification and/or experience. Additionally, they are expected to meet the specific requirements of the intended PhD programme. Depending on the candidates’ residential eligibility, the award can be made as a full studentship or tuition fees only studentship.
