Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the CRESSI Project (European Union FP7 Research Project), working closely with the Principal Investigator the post holder will and take responsibility for one Work Programme within the larger CRESSI project. The Said Business School, University of Oxford, is the central co-ordinator of a 4 year, Euro 2.6 million, European Union FP7 Research Project: CRESSI. The project has 10 work streams across seven universities in six European countries and focuses on exploring the economic underpinnings of social innovation within the EU. The aim is to provide empirically driven policy advice to the Commission in terms of addressing social exclusion.
Specifically, the post holder will focus on analysing the public policy agendas in the EU supporting social innovation, social enterprise, and social finance focussed on the most deprived or excluded populations. As a consequence, the researcher will need to be familiar with institutional analyses of public policy. Some experience of research in social innovation will also be of benefit.
The post holder will have or expect to obtain a DPhil/PhD within institutional theory that includes some work on one or all of: public policy; social policy; social exclusion; social innovation and be able to demonstrate the ability to manage academic research, including any associated activities and administration.
The post holder will be an experienced communicator (both in terms of writing publications and presenting research publications), used to developing relationships with a diverse number of stakeholders and have demonstrable experience in publishing in academic journals and/or book chapters. Previous experience within an EU funded project would be advantageous.
