The UCL Ear Institute is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Audiology, who will lead the MSc in Advanced Audiology course as Programme Director and coordinator of key teaching modules, and will contribute to innovation of teaching in audiology and/or advancement of audiological research.
The post holder will advance audiology and audiology teaching through innovative practice and/or research in audiology or clinical pedagogy. They will also provide leadership of the MSc in Advanced Audiology in the role of Programme Director, maintaining consistency and quality of curriculum development and delivery in clinical theory and practical training, and developing masterclasses in advanced audiology and other training opportunities for clinicians. A key part of this role is to provide support and pastoral support for students.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Audiology or related discipline and hold a registration with the registration Council. They will also be able to relate well with students, giving support; possessing in-depth understanding of Quality Assurance and Course Design and delivery within Higher Education. It is also essential that the chosen candidate has an understanding of current theoretical issues in audiology or pedagogy and be able to work well with Clinical and teaching colleagues. They will have In-depth knowledge of diagnostic audiology assessment and rehabilitation; evidence of managerial experience would be desirable.
