The department of Research Business and Innovation are seeking to appoint a Senior Finance Officer to provide a broad range of financial support to a European (ERDF) funded project led by the University.
You will be responsible for all financial activity including: monitoring income and expenditure against milestones/deliverables; post award reconciliation' ensuring financial regulation compliance' audit certification' general tasks (processing expenses, collating claims etc.).
In addition you will advise and collaborate with both the Deputy Head of Financial Services (who line manages the role) and the dedicated project delivery team (located in another service).
While the role's primary purpose is to support the Innovation Enterprise Programme (IEP), where applicable it will also work alongside and ensure communality of practice with other university ERDF projects.
You will have:
- First degree in a relevant subject, or can demonstrate equivalent experience.
- Evidence of CPD.
- Currently studying towards a professional accountancy qualification.
- AAT qualified, or part-qualified
