Head of Quality Assurance and Quality Enhancement

Leeds Trinity University - Institute of Childhood and Education

This post represents part of a significant investment in the Institute of Childhood and Education. Leeds Trinity University has a proud tradition of working in Teacher Education and in the wider area of Children, Young People and Families. Our Primary education provision includes undergraduate programmes for both early and later years and a growing post-graduate offering, including a rapidly expanding portfolio of School Direct provision developed in close partnership with schools. Our secondary provision is all at post graduate level and has significant numbers both university led and school led. The Institute also has strong provision in the wider area of children, young people and families and now wants to build on the synergies between ITE and this provision to become one of the leaders in this field, delivering outstanding research that informs both policy and practice.

We are seeking to recruit a talented academic to be both part of the leadership group and to lead on the quality aspects of our work. In particular this role will involve leading on ensuring that we have outstanding quality systems in place for our initial teacher education programmes, building on our strong portfolio. It will also involve ensuring that we have robust quality systems in place as part of our commitment to a culture of continuous improvement across the Institute. An exciting aspect of this role is to lead on enhancing the quality of our current offer by supporting innovation, within a context of high quality provision for our students.

Candidates must have a strong academic background and relevant experience in the field.
