The Engineering Department at Lancaster University wishes to appoint a talented lecturer in Electronic Engineering, to enhance our existing research strength in Radio Frequency electronics, microwave and millimetre wave devices and systems and particle accelerators with The Cockcroft Institute of Accelerator Science and Technology.
This is a full-time, permanent lectureship appointment. You should have a PhD in Electronic Engineering, or in a relevant research field, an outstanding publication record and a strong willingness to be a research leader and teach at the highest levels of quality. Evidence of an ability to attract external grant income to support your research is highly desirable.
The Department of Engineering at Lancaster University is a General Engineering department that is ranked highly in national league tables. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, 91% of our research and 100% of our impact in General Engineering was assessed as internationally excellent and world leading. We pride ourselves in achieving the highest levels of student experience. In research, our interests span topical areas from sustainable energy through nuclear engineering to electronics, chemical engineering and manufacturing & structures.
You will be member of the E-MIT (Engineering of Microwave, Terahertz and Light) & Electronics group. The group has a multi-million grant income, worldwide collaboration networks and strong links with leading institutions (e.g. CERN, RAL) and industries.
