|Salary:||£31,076 to £38,183|
|Contract Type:||Contract / Temporary|
|Placed on:||17th November 2016|
|Closes:||15th December 2016|
The position involves the development of atomistic spin dynamic models within the FEMTOTERABYTE project funded as a research and innovation action by the EU Horizon 2020 FET programme. You will develop atomistic spin models of novel materials and systems for ultrafast laser driven reversal using ab-initio information obtained within the FEMTOTERABYTE consortium. The models will be used to investigate the physics of ultrafast reversal and to advance understanding via comparison with experiments carried out within the consortium. You will have a background in condensed matter theory with experience in dynamic simulations of magnetic materials, high level computational skills and experience with parallel computer systems and knowledge of atomistic modelling and the development of classical spin Hamiltonians. Further particulars can be obtained from Prof. Roy Chantrell (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Dr. Richard Evans (email@example.com).
