Nottingham Trent University Finance department is a professional service providing all aspects of financial support to the University and its students and staff.

With a non-pay spend of over £70 million spread over many different budget areas and sites, we are currently seeking to appoint a Payments Manager who will manage a small team to ensure the effective operation of payment processes for supplies and services to the University and its subsidiaries in addition to payment of student bursaries and employee expenses.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing payments processes in a large organisation, monitoring performance against expectations, as well as identifying and implementing improvements. Experience of maintaining a strong control environment around payments is essential, as is up to date knowledge of tax requirements relating to payments.

You will be a self-motivated individual, with excellent interpersonal skills meaning that you are able to communicate with a range of stakeholders. You will have excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail and be able to lead, motivate and develop a team.
