Old Road Campus Research Building, Oxford and Churchill Hospital, Oxford
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Trial Monitor to join the Oncology Clinical Trials Office (OCTO), working in a team of trial management professionals running a varied portfolio of clinical trials and related sub-studies.
You will cover studies and sites across the whole of the UK, spending 2 - 3 days per week ‘on the road’, ensuring that OCTO studies are run to current regulatory and ethical standards and working closely with the trial management teams to support participating sites and assist in training study staff.
You will have a degree, or equivalent qualification, in a biomedical or associated subject and relevant experience in clinical research or clinical trial management. You will also have excellent communication skills and experience of training, ideally on topics related to clinical trials/GCP. Previous experience of working in early phase oncology clinical trials and electronic/remote data capture systems would be desirable.
This is a full-time post (with variable hours due to the nature of the role) and is available for 12 months in the first instance.
Whilst the role is a Grade 7 position, we are willing to consider candidates with potential but less experience who are seeking a development opportunity, for which an initial appointment would be at Grade 6 (£27,629 - £32,958 p.a.) with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly. The development from Grade 6 to Grade 7 would be supported with suitable training and clear objectives and it would be expected that the progression from Grade 6 to 7 would be within 12 months. This would be discussed with applicants at interview/appointment where appropriate.
All applicants must complete an application form and upload a CV and supporting statement.
The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on 4 January 2016. Interviews are scheduled for 24 January 2017.
