Tenure Track Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in Cultural and Creative Industry Management

USC-SJTU Joint Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry

The hiring entity is Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Selected scholars will be governed by SJTU rules and norms and they will be based in Shanghai. The selected scholars will be working with the Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry (ICCI) that is established by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in partnership with the University of Southern California and administered by the Marshall School of Business at University of Southern California.

ICCI is an interdisciplinary institute that focuses on developing cutting edge programs and research in the fields of culture and creative industry.

As a joint institute between USC and SJTU, ICCI will draw high quality resources from both universities in the fields of cultural industry to ensure that it will be a true innovator in delivering top class education, research, training and social services focused on culture-related industries, as well as an interdisciplinary platform for diverse international cooperation and industrial collaboration.

In view of its further development, ICCI is now globally calling for significant growth in the number of full-time faculty.

Location: Shanghai, China
Salary: basic 30,000USD-80,000USD/yearly negotiable based on the candidate’s position and research achievements
Hours: Full Time

Requirements

  1. Global perspective and industry outreach.
  2. In the research field of Cultural and Creative Industry Management, interdisciplinary background in Engineering and Technology or Media is more welcomed.
  3. Already in the position of Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor or equivalent position.
  4. Fluent English speaker.
  5. Forty hours weekly, including but not limited to class preparation and delivering, office hours, curriculum design & planning, student learning outcomes assessment, program review, committee work, student activities, research work, and other duties per specific unit agreement.
  6. Ability to conduct Interdisciplinary research, especially in collaboration with industry.
  7. Ability to teach well.

Responsibility:

  1. Teach graduate and PHD courses.
  2. Mentor Ph.D. students, supervise graduate student research.
  3. Establish vigorous research Interdisciplinary programs, including Engineering and Media is better.
  4. Participate in the international research community.

Salary Package:
Basic Salary + Initial Research Fund+ Housing Allowance + Health Insurance + Home Visiting Return Ticket (once a year)
