Market Research Manager - 12 month maternity cover

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Market Research Manager will deliver market insight to support decision making for colleagues across the institution with responsibility for the recruitment and conversion of prospective students. 

The work will span three main areas:

Student Recruitment Research: primary and secondary research into prospective student markets to inform student recruitment and conversion activity

  • Course Portfolio Research: detailed research into the market environment by subject and level of study, including demand trends for existing and potential new courses, and pricing research
  • Communications Research: including research into the brand image and positioning of the University, the University website and prospectuses and other communication tools.  The post holder will be responsible for managing market research projects to support a wide range of University functions including student recruitment activity, internal and external communications, fee setting and course portfolio development.

The successful candidate will have experience in a client or agency market research role, with demonstrable skills in using the full range of market research techniques.  Analysis of complex data will lead to insightful business recommendations, which will be delivered through excellent communication skills.  The role holder will be well organised and relish opportunities for taking a creative approach to managing research projects within tight budgets and timelines.
