Brunel University London wishes to appoint a Professor to its Division of Social Work within the College of Health and Life Sciences. We are seeking an individual with the vision and academic ambition to provide leadership and academic capacity that will firmly establish the Division of Social Work as a centre of excellence both nationally and internationally. Strong leadership by a qualified Social Work professional with international experience of social work education and research is sought in order to bring overarching leadership and strategic vision to the Division.

With modern, purpose built teaching and research facilities set within a vibrant campus based University, Brunel University London provides excellent opportunities to work with internationally recognised academics across the College in other disciplines such as Public Health, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Health Economics, and Psychology.

Successful applicants must be a registered Social Worker with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) or international equivalent. Applicants must have experience of the delivery of high quality teaching and of the development and leadership of social work education. They must also have a substantial national and international research profile with sustained research outcomes aligned to one or more of priority areas of research, i.e. Healthy Ageing or Welfare, Health & Wellbeing.

An essential requirement is for the successful applicant to satisfy the requirements of checks by the Disclosure & Barring Service.
