The Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations (CUDAR) Office has an outstanding track record of securing philanthropic income and has overall responsibility for coordinating University-wide development campaigns, raising funds to support schools, faculties, departments and other central University institutions. The Development and Alumni Relations Office works closely with Cambridge's 31 Colleges and its sister office, Cambridge in America, to maximise fundraising from a range of constituencies across the globe.

We are currently recruiting an Executive Assistant to be responsible for managing the Executive Director's (ED) working life. The Executive Assistant will provide excellent diary management, manage and prioritise the ED's work, carry out research and draft/commission and prepare detailed briefing notes.  The EA will be responsible for working closely with the executive team, led by the Chief of Staff, to provide a high level of executive and administrative support, in an office whose activities are multi-dimensional, high profile and externally visible.

The successful candidate will have first class organisational skills and proven experience of providing executive assistance on a one to one basis at Director Level. They will be expected to have a sound understanding of The University's structures, be confident and proactive and have the ability to work using their own initiative and judgement to make decisions on behalf of the ED. Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills are essential as they will be required to interact with people at all levels, internally and externally. Strong team working skills and a willingness to assist others in their work are a pre-requisite of this role.
