Applications are invited for a Laboratory Manager to work in the research group of Professor Henry Snaith, FRS. The role is full-time and permanent. The Photovoltaic and Optoelectronic Device Group is a research group within the sub-department of Condensed Matter Physics, in the Department of Physics at Oxford University.
Work will be carried out in a leading laboratory in the field of thin film photovoltaics that has been at the forefront of the discovery and development of perovskite optoelectronics. The research group is composed of an international team of highly motivated physicist, chemists and engineers. The laboratory manager is an essential part of the group and ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the lab. The person filling this position will be the first point of contact for all technical and safety issues, lending invaluable support to the team.
Applicants should possess a degree in physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or a related field. Previous experience as a Laboratory Manager is an asset. Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. They must possess the ability to work well as part of team and also and resolve issues independently.
