Research Assistant (Marine Energy)

£28,452 to £32,004 per annum together with USS pension benefits

The postholder wil be expected to contribute to the EPSRC SUPERGEN Marine 2015 funded project “SURFTEC: Survivability and Reliability of Floating Tidal Energy Converters” (ref. no. EP/N509826/1), working with the European Marine Energy Centre and Black and Veatch. The primary purpose is to develop computational tools to predict motion and loads on a floating platform tidal energy converter (FTEC) working closely with project partners to design a measurement campaign to gather test data related to the operation of FTECs.

This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2020
