Income Assistant (Credit Control)

Purpose and Main Duties
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly-motivated person to work within the Income Section of the Finance Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for an assigned group of student accounts, ensuring that records are correct and up-to-date. This will include dealing with queries from students, sponsors and collection agents and chasing outstanding debts by telephone and email.

Candidate Requirements
Applicants should be educated to at least GCSE standard (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics. Customer service experience is essential and you will also need to have experience in credit control. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines are essential. You must also be able to organise and prioritise your own workload.

Salary: Grade 4 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £24,809 rising to £28,154 per annum.

This post is full time, 35 hours per week (1.0 FTE) and fixed term for up to 10 months. The salary quoted above is on the College's London Pay Scale and includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the Greater London area. The initial salary will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful applicant. The appointment is subject to a probationary period of 6 months.
