This post will be based within Academic Quality and Compliance which is part of the Academic Registry. This role provides professional and managerial support to ensure the highest standards of the University’s academic quality through the design, implementation and evaluation of appropriate processes, policies and regulations. In particular, the post holder will manage the function and the professional delivery for the design, management and operation of course approval, monitoring and review activities.
The post holder will provide specialist professional advice to staff, students and external stakeholders within the context of a strongly customer focused service in relation to these processes, policies and regulations and their delivery within institutional and external regulatory frameworks.
The post holder is expected to build relationships with the academic community and to work collaboratively with professional service teams within Academic Registry and the wider University to ensure the effective operation of course approval and review activities and to the integration, where appropriate, of requirements around data quality and assurance.
Applicants should have a good Honours degree or equivalent professional qualifications as well as evidence of continued personal and professional development. The successful applicant must have experience of quality assurance, regulatory procedures and the application of the QAA Quality Code to institutional QA process as well as extensive experience in operating, evaluating and implementing new administrative processes, course approval, monitoring and review activities and report writing.
Applicants should also have experience of building and managing relationships with staff at all levels and key external organisations, experience of leading projects and the ability to juggle a demanding workload.

Applicants will need to take a flexible approach to working hours and may be required to work evenings and weekends occasionally and to undertake activities off campus both in the UK and overseas.
