The University of Sussex wishes to appoint a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and future Head of Department. This appointment is part of a programme of continuing investment in the Department of Engineering and Design. In addition to this post six further academic are being advertised.
The successful candidate will join the Thermo-fluid Mechanics Research Centre and ideally have research interests in multiscale modelling related to high Reynolds number turbulent subsonic and supersonic/hypersonic flows, and have an international reputation for excellence in research.
The successful applicant will be expected to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the area of mechanical engineering.
