The Postdoc Development Centre at Imperial College London works to deliver exceptional development activities for our vitally important early career research staff, helping them to take the next step in their careers and ensuring that they have the necessary skills and abilities to contribute effectively to the College’s research agenda.

The Centre provides a comprehensive programme of personal and professional development opportunities including training courses, individual consultations, mock interviews, cross-College events and publications.

The post holder will be responsible for the operational management of the Postdoc Development Centre’s activities. These will include; line managing a team of two administrators, managing the Centre’s expenditure and a portfolio of projects including course administration, publications, events as well as providing efficient administrative and management support for the Centre.

The ideal candidate will possess proven experience of managing an administrative team to provide professional, customer focussed services. As well as excellent organisational skills, applicants for the post will need to demonstrate their ability to negotiate multiple demands and deadlines responsively and tactfully, and possess the project management skills required to effectively and autonomously organise and manage the smooth running of a busy centre.
