This post is part-funded by the ERDF through the Ireland Wales Programme 2014-2020, on the project entitled Celtic Advanced Life-science Innovation Network (CALIN).

Main Purpose of the Post 

CALIN is a €12million flagship Ireland-Wales INTERREG operation, offering businesses in Ireland and Wales open access to a unique strategic international partnership between six world-class universities, and Global Leaders Unilever and GE Healthcare.

CALIN is led by Swansea University’s Medical School in partnership with Bangor University, Cardiff University, University College Dublin, Tyndall National Institute, and the National University of Ireland Galway. Focusing on Precision Medicine (diagnostics, devices & therapeutics), Regenerative Medicine, and Bio-Compatibility & Safety Evaluation, CALIN will engage with businesses to support advanced life science product development through collaborative R&D projects using a team of dedicated innovation officers.

CALIN will provide Welsh and Irish businesses with access to a powerful knowledge base, highly skilled R&D scientists, and state-of-the-art technological infrastructure enabling accelerated innovation and growth in high-value jobs. The operation will also offer access to a network of key stakeholders including those involved in supply chains, route to market and end-user healthcare providers through a series of CALIN events.

The project co-ordinators will be responsible for the financial management of the operation, ensuring that the work remains within budget. They will be responsible for all record keeping on, financial information, project activity and results against targets to assist with the production of quarterly reports and paperwork to support financial claims. The co-ordinators will prepare all financial claims, handle audits, monitor the operation’s budget, and assist the project managers
