The National Army Museum (NAM) holds the premier collection of material relating to the British Army and tells the story of the British Army at home and abroad from earliest times to the present day. The Museum has been successful in securing phase 2 Heritage Lottery Fund support for our Building for the Future project (capital campaign), which includes a major re-development of the Chelsea site involving the complete re-presentation of the Museum displays, facilities, and learning spaces, including dedicated public spaces for retail, café and Corporate Hire, to ensure the Museum sits at the forefront of military museums in the 21st century. Redevelopment will be completed in 2017.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new fundraising team who will build on the success of the recent capital campaign; together we will develop innovative fundraising initiatives for this fantastic new Museum in the heart of Chelsea.
We are seeking to appoint a Development Officer who will be responsible for the management and use of the Development Department’s donor and prospect management using the Salesforce database. The post-holder will be responsible for developing and implementing a solid and effective programme of prospect and donor research through the identification and management of donor prospects, and for the administration of the Family Membership Scheme, which is overseen by the Head of Individual Giving.
The successful candidate will be extremely organized and able to manage a robust pipeline of key accounts. They will be a lateral thinker with the ability to understand the strategic objectives of the Museum and source appropriate potential partners. Experience of working with relational databases is essential.
Interviews will be held on 13 January 2017.
