About the role

This post is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

This is a six month fixed term position with an option to extend for a further six months, depending on the workload and performance of the post holder.

The University is seeking a professionally qualified (MCIPS) Procurement Officer to provide day to day support of University procurement requirements as well as a focus to support a number of active ERDF projects, implementing compliant procurement best practice and delivering maximum value for money for these projects.

The post holder will be expected to have an active role in ensuring Procurement processes are streamlined as far as possible and ensuring the University remains compliant with the ERDF funding requirements.

Candidates should be educated to degree standard (or equivalent) and have previous experience of working within a procurement function in a large or complex organisation, with a number of different stakeholders, preferably within the Higher Education sector.
