A vacancy has arisen for an ambitious and committed Executive Officer to take a lead in managing the Systems Immunity University Research Institute (SIURI) based in the School of Medicine.
SIURI brings together world-leading research in Infection and Immunity to apply informatics and statistical approaches to develop a holistic view of inflammation, infection and autoimmunity. The URI has a portfolio of over £70M in grant income and links with diverse external and internal stakeholders, a vibrant engagement programme and PhD studentship scheme.
The Executive Officer will be responsible for day-to-day management of the Institute. This includes organisation of committees, meetings and engagement activities, collecting and compiling outputs, helping with grant submissions and supporting the URI Directors and other members of the URI Executive team. The appointee will be based on the Heath Park site expected to develop a close working relationship with URI researchers.
This position is full time (35hours per week) and it is fixed term until 31/07/2020
Salary: £26,052- £30,175 per annum (Grade 5)
