The University of Warwick is seeking applications in the field of Global Sustainable Development, with a specialisation in Environmental Biology. The post will support a new, innovative interdisciplinary degree, a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Global Sustainable Development, in which students examine the subject in relation to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. You will be part of a growing team of academics delivering cutting-edge research, innovative interdisciplinary teaching, and outstanding student support.
We are looking for an ambitious researcher with a belief in the value of research as a tool for tackling issues of global significance, and a commitment to collaborative, trans-disciplinary research, teaching and learning. We hope to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate educator who uses their knowledge of a range of teaching, learning and assessment strategies to develop and deliver a dynamic, innovative and engaging curriculum.
The successful candidate will be an excellent researcher, teacher and communicator with a sound subject knowledge and a growing research profile, able to stimulate and enthuse students from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds and with a desire to respond meaningfully to the challenges faced by contemporary society and promote positive changes to secure a sustainable future.
This is an evolving degree and we expect the appointee to help shape it, and support its evolution, including the development of new Masters programmes and the expansion of our collaborations with leading international partners.
