Facilities Assistant (23913-116)

University of Warwick - Warwick Business School

This is a desirable opportunity to work for a leading Business School and to enhance your buildings and facilities maintenance experience in a key role. In particular you will support the Academic Services section with the maintenance of high quality School buildings, infrastructure and facilities. This role involves a combination of facilities maintenance and administrative tasks, so may be best suited to applicants with experience in both areas.

You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to provide high-quality operational, logistical and physical support for the facilities infrastructure at WBS.

You will be educated to at least GCSE standard (or with demonstrable and significant equivalent experience relevant to the role).

You will have the ability to organise a busy workload, sometimes under pressure to meet competing deadlines and deliver excellent customer service in a diplomatic, friendly and professional manner.

You will be able to demonstrate competence in Microsoft Office software including MS Excel, email and preferably experience of using databases or an online helpdesk.

Accuracy and attention to detail are critical, as is the ability to anticipate issues and problems and to propose practical solutions.

Recent and relevant experience in facilities maintenance and administration will be a bonus, preferably gained in the higher education sector.

Please be aware that this role will include a physical element which will entail, for example, the moving of furniture and materials around and between buildings.
