Summary: 

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Technician for a part-time post (20 hours per week) partly funded by the University of Sheffield Women Academic Returner’s Programme (WARP). The successful candidate will be supporting a Kidney research UK Fellow, Dr Maria Fragiadaki, working in a multidisciplinary department led by Professor Sheila E Francis. The work is focused on the use of both mammalian cells and mouse models to study JAK-STAT signalling in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease and atherosclerosis.

Experience in molecular biology and/or immunohistochemistry or assistance with mouse tissue experiments is required. Applicants with a good honours degree in biology, biochemistry or related subject, or commensurate evidence of experience in a relevant technical background would be desirable.
