The University Polyclinic provides clinical resources and facilities for the Faculty of Science and Technology within the University of Westminster. It is a complementary medicine teaching clinic supporting undergraduate and post-graduate professional courses in East Asian Medicine and Herbal Medicine (Western tradition), which run treatment clinics for private patients, but also supports research and other units requiring clinical facilities. The Polyclinic is a unit with eight clinical rooms, a multi-couch room, a substantial herbal dispensary and seminar rooms, along with a dedicated patient waiting room, office, etc. It has full clinical governance in place including an independent clinical services quality assurance committee with external membership.

The post holder will be required to lead the Clinical Services team in the Polyclinic by providing clinical practice management, high quality patient focused clinical and administrative service to staff, students and patients and supporting clinic activities consistent with good clinical audit and governance in the context of safe working practice. She/he will work closely with the Faculty Clinical Director, and report to the Operations and Learning Services Manager of the Faculty.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate proven experience of effective leadership and line-management of a multi-disciplinary team in a similar environment, along with a commitment to quality assurance and meeting the university’s aims for the enhancement of the clinic experience for patients, students and staff. We expect a reasonable understanding of the relevant health and safety and clinical governance legislation, and a familiarity with higher education or similar institutional procedures.
