About the role:

You’ll join our Department of Biomedical and Forensic Sciences, based in our Faculty of Science and Technology.

We’re a forward-looking and enthusiastic department with a vision that combines commitment to a strong and active research culture with excellence in learning and teaching. The department has two principle research groups, the Biomedical Research Group (BRG) and the Forensic and Investigative Sciences Research group (FISRG). Staff from these groups were part of internationally leading and world leading submissions to REF2014.

We’re seeking a motivated Research Assistant to support the research in the FISRG. With a degree in Forensic science, Biomedical Science, Analytical Chemistry or related subject area, you’ll have experience and skills that complement our research in the area of detection of drugs abuse in beverages using chromatography and mass spectrometry, which may have been used in Drug Facilitated Sexual Assault (DFSA), led by Dr. Lata Gautam.
