One position available for either at minimum of 0.75% FTE, Fixed Term Contract January 2017 until 31 December 2018.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Division of Health Sciences, Warwick Medical School, for an experienced post-doctoral researcher who also has experience working in clinical trials or feasibility studies for clinical trials, and systematic reviews. You will join an enthusiastic research team working on a mixed methods study with the aim of adapting an Individualised Placement Support model (hitherto used to help people with mental health problems back to work) to tackle helping people with chronic pain back to work.
You will be responsible for the management of the feasibility study including participant recruitment, data collection, analysis and report writing. There may also be some work to do on a systematic review. The role includes close liaison with clinicians, other health service staff, and employer partners. You will work closely and flexibly with a researcher primarily responsible for qualitative data collection and analysis and the chief investigator.
You will demonstrate excellent communication and management skills together with the ability to organise and to work autonomously and as part of a team. You will be able to motivate others, show enthusiasm and innovate when faced with different types of challenges. You will have a PhD in health services research or a related field. Experience of working on a trial, or a feasibility study, of a complex intervention is essential.
Where you have not yet been awarded your PhD, any offer made to you will be an under-appointment to the post of Research Assistant at a salary of £28,453 per annum. Once your PhD has been awarded and you have evidenced this, you will be appointed to the substantive post of Research Fellow at a salary within the range shown above.
