Senior Lecturer /Physician Associate

A dynamic, self-motivated individual is required to teach on the MSc Physician Associate programme in the School of Allied Health Sciences. This is a full time role which will include a 0.5 FTE secondment as a Physician Associate in the NHS.

You will be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of the Physician Associate programme through teaching and related professional academic activity. You will also be part of the Physician Associate programme management team.

In order to maintain your clinical practice, 50% of your role will encompass working as a practicising Physician Associate in an appropriate specialty. You will form an essential part of the relevant clinical team providing high quality evidence based clinical care working autonomously as part of a multi-disciplinary team and under the supervision of the relevant consultants. You will have extensive knowledge and experience in the relevant specialty.

It is essential that you have a qualification in an accredited physician associate programme certified by the Faculty of Physician Associates and be on the Managed Voluntary Register (PA-R) and be committed to the educational development of future Physician Associates. Clinical experience is essential, and teaching experience in Higher Education is desirable. Academic training and support will be provided for the successful applicant.
