The University of Cambridge is inviting applications for a Research Study Co-ordinator to join the Biomarker in Depression (BIODEP) Study. The post holder will provide administrative support to the Research Project Manager and the Database Operations Manager of the BIODEP study.
The primary focus is to ensure that the study is conducted in accordance with contractual agreements, the study protocol, standard operating procedures, regulatory and ethical requirements and Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
We are looking for a individual with prior experience in mental health research and/or research administration, preferably within the NHS or an academic institution. You will have a relevant degree, but equivalent experience will be considered.
This is a key role within the Research Study team, and the post holder will be responsible for facilitating the timely recruitment of patients. This will involve day-to-day coordination/administration, database management and contact with patients and clinicians following ethics guidelines and appropriate protocol.
He/she will also undertake general administrative duties for the team, as well as support the Research Project Manager and Database Operations Manager as required.
Applicants must be well organised, possess strong communication skills, have the ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team, and maintain a compassionate understanding when dealing with patients and families.
