The Division of Health and Social Care Research (www.kcl.ac.uk/hscr) is seeking to appoint a Clinician with a background in health services research and experience of working with clinical teams as a career opportunity in quality improvement at both an organisational and clinical level. The post holder will work on The Foundation Healthcare Group Vanguard (a collaboration between Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust), which is seeking to test how a Group model could potentially address the urgent issue of how to sustain high quality local services both at a local level and also with a view to having a wider system offer by sharing this replicable model across the NHS.
This post offers the opportunity to collect data that would contribute to a PhD and a clinical research training fellowship. The post holder will work with an evaluation team at King’s College London with expertise in population health, health services research and public sector management.
The post holder will be medically qualified, GMC registered and hold PhD or MD in a relevant discipline, or hold equivalent experience. The successful candidate will also have: expertise in Health Services Research Methods both quantitative and qualitative; knowledge of data interpretation; experience of stakeholder engagement with patients and staff; and experience of evaluating the effect of specific interventions in cardiology, vascular, and paediatrics.
