Your recent experience of financial assessments will be welcomed in this fixed-term role based within the Student Advice Service, which provides supportive and objective advice to the university community to ensure our students get the most out of their time at university. 

Providing information and guidance to students and staff on the full range of funds available forms part of the role and you will also administer, assess, maintain, monitor and develop existing funds as well as maintain accurate and confidential records of student applications.

Proven recent experience of advice work and financial assessments is essential for success in this role, as are an eye for detail and excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.  You will also need the ability to understand the needs of others and a commitment and understanding of confidentiality and data protection.

Hours will need to be worked across 5 days a week but exact hours can be discussed at interview.  The post is fixed-term until July 2018 as funding is currently limited.
