Researcher Development is an essential strand of Warwick’s approach to developing and enhancing student success and employability. The Student Development Unit in Student Careers & Skills leads the central programme for research students (Research Student Skills Programme) and the Undergraduate Research Support Scheme, which connects with a broader portfolio of opportunities designed to support UGs engage with and contribute to the University’s research activity.
Aligned with the University’s strategic plan, the Researcher Development Manager will be working in partnership with the Board of Graduate Studies Skills Working Group and Graduate School to progress the institution wide initiative to connect and embed professional development across Warwick’s Doctoral programmes.
The post holder will also support the work of the cross-institutional UG Research Working Group to grow UG research opportunities at Warwick and develop the researcher development trajectory across the different cohort skills proprgammes (UG, PGT, PGR).
Educated to doctoral level, you will be a responsive and flexible educational professional who has a demonstrable track record of successful collaborative working in a complex organisation. You will have substantial experience of managing people and leading change as well as the ability to design and deliver creative educational solutions.
Energetic and committed, you will be required to apply your knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning in Higher Education to enable Warwick students to benefit from globally competitive student development opportunities.
