About the role:
Working in the Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences at Anglia Ruskin University, the post of Digital Media Technical Officer will join a dynamic Technical Team tasked with supporting Cambridge School of Art’s technical facilities and courses. Working across two disciplines, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to students studying Animation and Digital Media. This will include the day-to-day running, maintenance and operation of Illustration and Animation facilities; supporting staff and students in stop-frame and digital animation techniques. From September 2017, the post holder will also support our new BA (Hons) in Digital Media.
With a degree, you’ll be a confident demonstrator with the ability to manage and support animation and media resources. You’ll have previous experience of maintaining animation and digital/interactive media equipment and working with a range of relevant software packages. With knowledge of contemporary 2D and 3D animation, web design and interactive media practices, you’ll have the ability to diagnose and remedy day-to-day malfunctions in common animation and digital/interactive media equipment. You’ll have good working knowledge of HTML 5, TV Paint, After Effects, Flash/Animate and Maya as well as being able to work under pressure.
