This is a three year postdoctoral position within the Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology (TPPC) Group, funded by the UK Science and Technology Facilities Council to perform research on collider physics and models of particle physics beyond the Standard Model, including supersymmetry and strings, as well as candidates for astrophysical dark matter. An important aspect will be proposing and evaluating tests of these ideas such as predictions for collider experiments and the interpretations of their data, as well as predictions of particle-physics models for indirect and direct dark matter searches. The post holder will also be encouraged to interact with members of the TPPC Group working on the particle physics of the early universe such as inflation, on gravitational waves, on theoretical models of quantum gravity and on numerical relativity.
The selection process will include competency based questions and a panel interview.
