The University seeks to recruit a Management Accountant to work within the Financial Performance Management team. This team forms part of the Finance function which delivers high quality transactional, financial and commercial services - supporting the continued success of the University.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be part of a team of management accountants who provide financial management expertise in relation to delivering financial performance in line with the University’s Financial Plan.

The role will include 1) forecasting, budgeting and planning for Schools and Professional Services; 2) Application of investment appraisal for the development and review of business cases; 3) Costing, including the TRAC returns; and 4) provision of regular and relevant financial information to budget holders, senior management and external stakeholders. The University uses SAP R/3 as its accounting package.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be educated to Degree level or equivalent and/or hold a professional qualification in accountancy.

You will have substantial accounting experience with excellent numeracy, analytical and professional skills. In addition, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain finance related information to non-finance staff in an easily digestible format.
