Lecturer in Brick

Easton & Otley College

With the opening of our modern, well-equipped £3.75m Construction Centre, we aim to lay the foundations for a more secure future by trebling the number of construction students we teach at Easton & Otley to over 300 learners by 2018.  Our state-of-the art centre offers bespoke training in every area of the industry including bricklaying, building, building construction operations (BCO), carpentry, joinery and electrical installation; the high standard of facilities and experienced staff makes Easton & Otley College an excellent place to study and to work.

The post holder will be responsible for the planning, delivery, assessment and moderation of a course(s) within their subject area to enable the learners to achieve the learning outcomes including a high level of learner retention and achievement. In doing so the post-holder will comply with the college quality standards, the common inspection framework and the Self-Assessment Action Plan.

A Teaching qualification is desirable but not essential as training can be given for the right candidate.  The salary range for a non- qualified lecturer will be in the range of £22,000 - £23,000, with the opportunity to gain qualifications through our teaching training course with our support and progress accordingly in the salary range.

Why work for Easton and Otley College?

In addition to a competitive salary and annual leave package, a beautiful countryside environment and an occupational pension scheme, Easton and Otley College offers ongoing CPR, free parking, a subsidised canteen, free DBS Checks, free hot drinks and complementary use of our fitness centres.
