The University of Salford is a vibrant organization with an ambitious direction of travel. Well known for forging partnerships across industry, Salford is now extending and deepening these relationships with the development of a number of degree apprenticeships in response to growing demand from industry partners. With support from HEFCE, the University is seeking to recruit high caliber individuals with appropriate skills and expertise to assist in the growth of its degree apprenticeship portfolio.

Reporting to the Head of Quality and Enhancement, the role holder will lead the design and deliver a programme of staff development focused on work-based learning including, for example, designing curricula that integrate work-based learning, and understanding and facilitating learning at work. The role holder will be key in facilitating the sharing of academic and industry experience, and will support mutual learning opportunities in the co-design of curricula to grow the University’s degree apprenticeship portfolio. Working with colleagues specialising in learning technologies, the role holder will also contribute to the production of online learning materials for work-based learning and degree apprenticeships as part of the University’s HEFCE funded degree apprenticeship project.

The post holder will have excellent interpersonal, networking and communication skills, the ability to engage academic and professional services staff at every level of the University, and engage with industry partners and other stakeholders. The ability to build and maintain complex relationships with various stakeholders with differing requirements is also required.
