The University of Salford is a vibrant organisation with an ambitious direction of travel. Well known for forging partnerships across industry, Salford is now extending and deepening these relationships with the development of a number of degree apprenticeships in response to growing demand from industry partners. With support from HEFCE, the University is seeking to recruit high calibre individuals with appropriate skills and expertise to assist in the growth of its degree apprenticeship portfolio.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of the Academic Business Development Office, the Degree and Higher Apprenticeship Manager will have overall responsibility for the effective delivery of the University’s HEFCE funded degree apprenticeship project. The post will be critical to ensuring the effective roll out of degree apprenticeships across the University working with schools professional services and employers to ensure that the design and delivery of its apprenticeship portfolio meets industry’s priority skill needs.

The post holder will have excellent interpersonal, networking and communication skills, the ability to engage academic and professional services staff at every level of the University, and engage with industry partners and other stakeholders. The ability to build and maintain complex relationships with various stakeholders with differing requirements is also required.
