About the role
The Department of Social and Community Studies which is located in the College of Health and Social Care is looking to recruit a lecturer/senior lecturer to join their Social Work Programme's. All of the programmes within the department attract strong recruitment and have an excellent reputation in the region. They cover a number of pathways which reflect the changing health and social care environment with a strong focus on the student experience.

We are looking for a creative and experienced practitioner/lecturer to join the programme team. You will be responsible for supporting delivery of a range of qualifying programmes at undergraduate and post graduate levels. 

You will have extensive experience of social work practice in an Adult field, alongside the knowledge of current developments within social work services as well as social work education. An ability to teach within Higher Education and understand the needs of adult learners at Under Graduate, Post Graduate and in Continued Professional Development is essential.

This post is primarily based at the Britannia Mill site in Derby but can also be delivered off-campus and some teaching at other locations will be required.

Teaching delivery, work based learning, placement based learning and supported E-Learning are important components of the student experience and experience in these approaches is desirable.
