This post is available until 31 August 2019 as part of the LowCoPreCon project, funded by Innovate UK and MiGHT through the Newton-Ungku Omar Coordination Fund. We are seeking to appoint a researcher with experience of concrete technology and environmental and social impact assessment to join the Energy Efficient Materials Group within the School.
The post holder will carry out experimental and theoretical research to promote new technological solutions to harness silicon dioxide rich and alkali waste streams for the complete replacement of cement for the production of ‘green’ precast concrete products and investigate socio-economic and environmental issues for market uptake of using these products in construction.
