An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Research Fellow to join an experienced team in the Section of Investigative Medicine, supporting a research programme investigating the role of nutrient sensing in the regulation of energy homeostasis.

Working under the supervision of Professor Gary Frost and Dr Kevin Murphy you will contribute to all aspects of the research programme including human studies, involving sampling from the gastrointestinal tract, and the design and conduct of experiments. This role may also involve in vivo studies.

As well as having completed Membership of the Royal College of Physicians, you will have sound knowledge of gut physiology and metabolism. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, the ability to exercise initiative and work independently, and will be able to work both as part of a multi-disciplinary team and on a one-to-one basis. Previous experience of human studies, and of training staff and students in laboratory techniques would be advantageous.
